Massachusetts, 1986 - Like deer smelling a thunderstorm, the people of Franklin know on an instinctual level that something is wrong with their town. They know that outside their lighted streets, outside their chained front doors and barred windows are spaces filled with very bad things. Its seems like its always been this way and those who make trouble have a habit of disappearing, so they close their eyes, pull the covers tighter over their shaking bones and pretend that everything is just fine. Just fine. Thud. Just fine.
But there are souls here idealistic enough to think they can change things, naive enough not to recognize the danger and young enough to think themselves invincible all the same. We are speaking of course, about college students.
